NGC 3676 Statue of Liberty nebula is 9,000 light years away in the Sagittarius-Carina arm of the southern Milky Way. The 7214 Endurance is a deep space science vessel on multi-year mission to this sector of the galaxy charting the thousands of systems in this densely populated region.

The painting was commissioned by a US collector and the original was delivered to California during February 2022.
