Xenomorph was painted in September 2023 which is the 44th anniversary of the 1979 release of Ridley Scott’s “Alien”. This film defined a totally new science fiction mythology and stands out as a genre defining feature film. Having watched Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien 4, Prometheus, Covenant and most recently Romulus I have to say the original Alien and Prometheus are my favourites.

The Xenomorph is the adult predator that is grown from the face hugger originating out of the Ovomorph egg. In the painting a Xenomorph threatens the observer in an aggressive stance over a hive of eggs - I think we all know what comes next …
