"Watchful angel" is one of two paintings specifically produced in November 2017 for the British Aerobatic Association ( BAeA ) to help drive international team training funds. 100% of proceeds go to the BAeA

Extra aerobatic aircraft started to appear in the 1980's and since then Walter Extra and his team have designed, built and delivered many hundreds of dual and single seat aerobatic aircraft worldwide. From the early 90's the evolution of the range has continued apace with the superb EA330SC and EA330LX models representing state of the art +10/-10g certified aircraft.

"Watchful angel" is a fast climbing EA330SC between manoeuvres converting speed back to height. Its easy to imagine that we all fly with a supportive winged angel on our shoulder and this shiny blue Extra is accompanied by a ghostly Neil Williams in his Pitts S1 G-AZPH as they climb sunward together.

Original oil on 4cm deep box canvas, image size 80cm x 60cm. Signed by the artist.
